LAST NIGHT DRAKE won a rake of awards at the Billboards. In fact, he won so many that he broke Adele’s previous record for most taken home in a single night by an artist. She managed to get 12 last year but he last night Drake took home 13. He definitely looks like he needs to go to IKEA on the way home and sort out some storage for them.

His awards included Best Artist (which he was up against Beyoncé for), Top Male Artist and Top Streaming Artist (which is no surprise – One Dance has been played on Spotify alone over 1,221,878,503 times).
With 13 awards to accept, it’s a wonder he even bothered to leave the stage to go back to his seat at all over the course of the night. While accepting one award, he complimented High School Musical and Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens and Nicki Minaj’s reaction was priceless.
He started off by saying “Vanessa Hudgens, you look incredible tonight”.
Nicki was NOT impressed.
Lil Wayne had a good oul laugh while Nicki looked at the camera and said “Excuse me? What about me?!”

He gave Ludacris a quick shoutout before coming back to save himself from the wrath of Nicki Minaj. After some serious conflict with Nicki’s ex boyfriend Meek Mill, Drake told her “Nicki Minaj, I’m so glad we found our way back, because I love you and I could never, ever see it any other way.
The two of them were clearly locked but Nicki replying “I love you, I love you, I love you!” was the epitome of friendship goals.
He ended the speech by drawing attention to the fact that his dad was wearing a purple suit and purple shoes and screaming “BOY! IF YOU DON’T STOP!” You just can’t help but feel delighted for him.
